The Department of Maritime Studies supports the research activity of faculty members in many ways:

• It supports faculty members regarding the implementation of their research work and the development of a network of research collaborations.
• Within the framework of the Department’s research policy, the quality and quantity of the published research work of faculty members is financially supported.
• It finances participation in scientific conferences from Departmental resources (Master Programs) and
• It finances subscriptions to databases that are necessary for the preparation of research work in the field of shipping and the maritime economy.
