- Design and conduct independent research in maritime transport and shipping, using appropriate research methodologies, data sources, and analytical tools.
- Communicate complex maritime transport analyses and research findings effectively, to specialist and non-specialist audiences, in an international and interdisciplinary context.
Overall, graduates of the MSc Sustainable Maritime Transport will be well equipped to pursue professional or academic careers in shipping, maritime transport, ports, regulatory and public authorities, classification societies, consulting, and international organisations operating at the interface of transport, sustainability, and governance. The Programme supports the development of new and evolving professional profiles in maritime transport, particularly in areas related to sustainability, decarbonisation, digitalisation, risk management, and compliance, responding to the growing demand for specialised expertise in the global maritime sector.
