Professor Theodoros Pelagidis in the closed Policy Meeting organized by the Institute of Democracy Kostantinos Karamanlis at the Maritime Club of Piraeus on the topic: “The presence of China in the modern world and Greek-Chinese relations”
The Deputy Director of the Bank of Greece and member of the research team of the “Quantitative Analysis in Shipping Laboratory” Professor Theodoros Pelagidis participated on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 in the closed Policy Meeting organized by the Institute of Democracy Kostantinos Karamanlis at the Maritime Club of Piraeus on the topic: “The presence of China in the modern world and Greek-Chinese relations”. During his speech, Prof. Pelagidis emphasized on the criticality of the current era in which China is a driving force. He noted the role of China in the era of fragmentation of the world economic system after an extensive period of globalization in which China played a leading role but also benefited the most. He also called for the discussion to turn to any efforts by China for international cooperation and tackling climate change.
