Quantitative Analysis in Shipping Laboratory @ the 87th Thessaloniki International Fair
The Quantitative Analysis in Shipping Laboratory (QuALS) of the University of Piraeus participated in the 87th Thessaloniki International Fair from September 9th to September 17th, 2023, with its presence at Stand 3 of the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (P.C.C.I.) in pavilion 2. Visitors had the opportunity to learn about the research activities of the Laboratory and the collaborations it has developed. Furthermore, visitors had the opportunity to become familiar with QuALS’ state-of-the-art equipment, including the Matrice RTK 300 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System and the Remote Operated Underwater Vehicle System Guardian MINI-ROV, as well as the full mission simulator in the context of the training process for aspiring crane and forklift operators. Visitors also had the opportunity to test their cognitive coordination skills, using the Hand-Eye-Foot coordination assessment system.
Our exhibit was visited by representatives of Chambers of Commerce, Universities, companies, and other organizations engaged in research and education, who showed a keen interest in potential collaborations and knowledge exchange.
