M.Sc. in ‘Shipping’ is the first Post Graduate Programme established by University of Piraeus’ Maritime Studies’ Department, counting more than 20 years of excellence on postgraduate-level education, whilst maintaining an ever-expanding alumni network with more than 1400 members, nowadays. Through its interdisciplinary approach, actively being present in research, while adapting to the dynamic and changing environment in shipping and the interconnected to it business areas’ industries, the Programme follows new trends and developments in the field.  M.Sc. in ‘Shipping’ ensures the provision of multidisciplinary knowledge, as also this of theoretical and practical skills and competencies in the fields of Shipping, Ports, and Supply Chain Management, focusing on Management, Economics, Policy, Technology, Environment and Energy topics. 

The Programme is supported by an Advisory Board consisted of prestigious industry executives, with extensive experience in the subjects addressed by the M.Sc. In the area of Shipping. Moreover, the M.Sc. coordinates and offers training seminars, networking, experiential learning, and mentoring and career guidance events. The Programme responds to employed students’ needs with a flexible teaching timetable and the option of full, or part time attendance. The Programme enables students to participate in a four month internship in one of more than seventy (70) cooperating companies and public bodies,   displaying impressive retention rates in these companies’ job placements after completing their internship. The Programme rewards excellence with academic fellowships.
